A Summerville man is facing felony charges after allegedly choking a woman during a domestic dispute in Limestone Township, Clarion County.
State police say 50-year-old Robert Jason Smyers assaulted the woman on May 29 after refusing to give her a ride. The victim reported being choked and pushed, and troopers documented visible injuries on her neck and cheek. Smyers was arrested the next day and charged with felony strangulation, simple assault, and harassment. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail, with a preliminary hearing set for June 17.
