A Grampian man is facing over 2,800 charges in a child sex abuse case, and the victim’s mother is now also charged.
State police say 38-year-old Devin Moore was arrested after allegedly hitting two young girls during a dispute. One of the girls then accused Moore of sexually abusing her for five years. Investigators say the girl’s mother, 38-year-old Sara Moore, knew about the abuse and made Moore sign a handwritten promise to stop, instead of reporting it. A third child reportedly witnessed the abuse and claimed Sara Moore did nothing to intervene.
Devin Moore is being held without bail. Sara Moore faces several child endangerment charges and is out on unsecured bail.
