The municipal primary election in Pennsylvania takes place tomorrow.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters in line by 8 p.m. will still be able to cast their ballots. As Pennsylvania holds a closed primary, only registered Democrats and Republicans may vote for candidates within their party.
In the City of DuBois and Sandy Township, for the new consolidated city council, which will take office in 2026, Republican voters must choose up to seven candidates Democratic voters will see two names listed, both advancing to November. To qualify as a write-in candidate for city council, at least 100 votes are required on either party’s ballot, and Republican write-ins must also rank among the top seven.
