Pennsylvania is doing OK regarding mental health support for young people.
A report from Inseparable shows Pennsylvania is making progress in youth mental health support, with about half the recommended school psychologists, 36% of counselors, and over 75% of social workers. State Representative Mike Schlossberg acknowledges recent investments but urges continued support for school-based mental health.
The report also points out Pennsylvania’s failure to adopt key policies like excused mental health absences, staff training, and school-linked services.
