There’s a move to open Pennsylvania’s primary elections.
A new poll shows strong bipartisan support for allowing Pennsylvania’s 1.4 million independent voters to participate in primary elections. Pennsylvania is one of 14 states with closed primaries, but lawmakers are again considering changes. House Bill 280, introduced by Rep. Jared Solomon (D-Philadelphia) and over 20 co-sponsors, proposes open primaries and is currently before the House State Government Committee
