A Rural Valley man faces charges of attempted homicide for a stabbing on Tuesday.
State police were called out to a home along West Main Street at 10:30 PM on August 20th for the incident. The witness was in their living room with the victim when 48-year-old Andrew Berry allegedly came in unannounced and stabbed the victim in the chest. Reports say the victim was Berry’s ex-wife. The woman was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.
Berry also faces several felony charges including aggravated assault. He remains in the Armstrong County Jail as he was unable to post $250,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 27th
