Representatives from Pennsylvania American Water, in collaboration with state and local officials, recently visited the West End reservoir in Punxsutawney to observe infrastructure improvements.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports, with an investment of $5.5 million, Pennsylvania American Water is replacing the aging reservoir with two new 750,000-gallon water storage tanks on the west side of Punxsutawney. The Spirit adds, this upgrade will enhance reliability, ensure an adequate supply of water for firefighting, and safeguard the quality of drinking water by preventing pollutants and foreign objects from entering the reservoir.
