At last week’s Punxsutawney Borough Council meeting, members heard the estimated cost could be around a million dollars for the work that needs to be done on Dinsmore Avenue next year.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports, the Pennsylvania American Water Co. is going to tear up the road and put in a new waterline, while People’s Gas will also be replacing its main line at the same time.
Borough Manager Toby Santik suggested with council approval they could designate an engineering group to start now so the project could begin in February 2023, but according to the published report, the council needs to clarify a few questions before the issue can be put to a vote.
