Jefferson County’s unemployment rate is at 6.3 percent.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry also announced that in August, Indiana County’s unemployment rate fell two-tenths of a percentage point to 7.1 percent, compared to Clearfield County, which has the highest unemployment rate in the region at 7.7 percent.
