Indiana County is one of 24 newly listed by the Centers for Disease Control yesterday as having “substantial” levels of transmission of Covid-19, triggering a call – but not a mandate – that people wear masks indoors, whether vaccinated or not.
Neighboring Armstrong County is also on the list.
The CDC tracker covers the seven-day period between Monday, July 26th and Sunday, August 1st. There were five new Indiana County hospitalizations of Covid patients in the seven days, and 48 new positive coronavirus tests.
No deaths were reported.
