Punxsutawney Borough Chief of Police Matt Conrad was in studio talking about the need and uses for a K-9 Unit.
This will be the first time the Borough pf Punxsutawney will have a K-9 Unit for not only finding drugs but, helping to locate a missing person e.g., older adult with dementia who may wonder off or a child who may have been abducted or a runaway. The Police Department needs to raise money through community donations to accomplish the goal of a K-9 unit. The Police Chief gives a bit of history behind the potential dog for the position and how the training is done.
Police Chief Matt Conrad thanks the community, Punxsutawney Borough Council and others for the donations made. Chief Conrad also informs the public of a future event i.e., “Stuff A Cruiser” with toys for children.
