With coronavirus infections on the rise again, Idlewild and Soak Zone yesterday announced that it is going to be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the rest of the summer. The schedule change will begin next week. Idlewild’s hours for the rest of the year will be 10:30 AM to 6 PM, and Soak Zone will be open from 11:30 to 6.
The popular amusement park last week opened for the first time this year, but with some of its featured attractions closed, notably the Rollo Coaster and Story Book Forest.
The park’s website provides a daily list of what areas and attractions will be open and what will not. For instance, today’s list advises that the Wild Mouse, Ferris Wheel, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Lazy River, and Red Baron will not be open, and that extended closures – those that will open later this season or will not open at all this year – include the Rollo Coaster, Story Book Forest, Jumpin’ Jungle, Captain Kidd’s Adventure Gallery, Skooters.
