A Punxsutawney man was involved in a single-vehicle accident in McCalmont Township of Jefferson County.
On Monday night around 10:30 Pennsylvania State Police based out of Punxsutawney say 19-year-old Jacob Hopkins was driving south on Knox Dale Road when for unknown reasons he lost control while going around a left hand curve before crashing into a boulder on the bank of Orchard Street. According to the Pennsylvania State Police Hopkins fled the scene; however, he was brought back to the crash site by his mother who reported the crash to the police.
Jefferson County EMS transported him to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
