Last evening in Punxsutawney there were two vehicle accidents just an hour apart from each other, sending one person to the hospital.
According to The Punxsutawney Spirit, around 7:20, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Chestnut Street Extension and Walston Road. Then around 8:20 a pickup truck rolled over when the truck shut off along Clawson Street and Valley Road. The published reports says Jefferson County EMS transported the driver to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment and all three VFD’s were at the first crash site; however, the Lindsey Fire Company Units were canceled for the second accident, as Elk Run and Central were on the scene.
