A mobile home was destroyed in a fire this morning around 7 am along Route 36 near Means Lane in Oliver Township of Jefferson County.
No one was home when volunteer fire departments from Punxsutawney, Elk Run, Lindsey and Central, along with the Oliver Township VFD, plus EMS were at the scene. When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
Volunteer Fireman and reporter for The Punxsutawney Spirit Larry McGuire was on site and described the event.
