
One of the two people involved in the abuse of a deer last year was sentenced in Jefferson County.
According to a press releases by the Jefferson County District Attorney, on May 6th Alex Smith entered a negotiated plea of guilty to cruelty to animals, as a second degree misdemeanor under Pennsylvania law, and multiple Game Code violations stemming from a video he posted on social media of he and a juvenile co-abusing an injured whitetail deer.
Smith is sentenced to two years probation, fines of $2,150 and hunting privileges revoked for 15 years.
