Details have emerged about an accident that sent two people to the hospital over the weekend in Knox Township of Jefferson County.
State Police based in Punxsutawney say, around 8 on Saturday night, 34-year-old Jeffery Fike of Knox Dale was driving an ATV south on Knox Dale Road and failed to make a left hand curve. He reportedly collided with a sign, ejecting him and his 32 year-old passenger, Myranda Fike, from the ATV.
Jefferson County EMS transported the pair to Altoona Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Knox Township and Pine Creek VFD’s assisted at the crash site.
