Clymer Borough Police tracked down a Penn Run man who’s accused of assaulting a woman Wednesday evening.
Police responding to a home in the 400 block of Hancock Street say the victim claimed that 25-year-old Barry Lynn Long had choked her until she could not breathe. She had visible signs of recent physical abuse leading police to obtain an arrest warrant for Long, who was later taken into custody at another residence in Penn Run.
He’s charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment and criminal mischief.
After arraignment before District Judge Bob Bell, Long was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
