Two people from Summerville are accused of stealing more than $100,000 from a 77 year old woman between April 2015 through June 2017.
Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office arrested and charged 49 year old Charles Douglas Jr and 51 year old Lisa Douglas with Theft by Unlawful Taking, plus five others charges. Investigators say the two persuaded 77 year old Marie Douglas, who is now deceased, to give POA to Charles after she was deemed “incapacitated” due to dementia.
According to the criminal docket, the two will have their preliminary hearing on April 9th with Judge Bazylak.
