Yesterday morning in DuBois the Juanita Elementary School was on lock down for a little over an hour after a man was reported to have been walking around the neighborhood with a gun.
According to WTAJ News, DuBois and Sandy Township police Departments responded to the scene and took the necessary precautions for the safety of the students and faculty. The published report cites Police Chief Blaine Clark ,who said the man has an open carry firearm and was no where near the school as this is part of his routine when apparently walking to work; Clark also said, “Whoever reported the man did the right thing and if you do see something suspicious, don’t be afraid to report it to police.”
