Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate went up slightly in the month of January.
According to the state Department of Labor and Industry, the statewide unemployment rate went up one-tenth of a percentage point to 4.7 percent. Last year at that time, the unemployment rate was at 4.1 percent.
The county’s unemployment rate for the month of January will be released later this month.
