We have an update of an earlier report of a woman who claimed to be the victim of sexual assault in Union Township of Jefferson County.
On January 13th, Pennsylvania State Police conducted an investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a 27 year old woman on Findley Street in Punxsutawney. Investigators found the assault did not occur and they say she knowingly provided false information to implicate another.
The investigation into false reports to law enforcement remains open. Her name was not released.
