
A man and woman from Punxsutawney were arrested this past Friday in Jefferson County for drug related charges.
Just before 8 pm, troopers from the Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop on Route 119 near Indiana Street in Punxsutawney when they saw a vehicle traveling north without its headlights on. When officers spoke with the 24 year old female driver, they suspected she was driving under the influence of a drug. Following a field sobriety test she was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Her 21 year old passenger was questioned and police say they found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing and their names were not in the report.

An argument over marital property resulted in the arrest of both people involved.
Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois say the incident occurred this past Sunday morning around 8:30 at a residence on Tyler Avenue in the Borough of Falls Creek in Jefferson County, when they responded to a domestic altercation that turned physical between a 31 year old man and a 22 year old woman, both of Brockport.
Both parties will be cited for summary harassment through the Magisterial District Judge’s office. Their names were not released.

Pennsylvania State Police in Clarion are continue to investigate the theft of $2,400 in merchandise from a 30 year old Sligo man.
Pennsylvania State Police say the incident happened between 10 and 11 in the morning on February 14th along Front Street in the Borough of Sligo.
