State Police say they stopped a 40-year-old Punxsutawney woman for traffic violations just after 2:30 a.m., January 18 at Church Alley and Ridge Avenue in Punxsutawney Borough.
Police say the woman was then determined to be under the influence. Charges are pending in Punxsy District Court.

Pennsylvania State Police in Clearfield say a Bradford township man fell asleep while holding his handgun, which then discharged accidentally, striking him in the arm.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the known victim suffered a superficial single gunshot wound to his left arm around 5:00 a.m. this past Tuesday on Egypt Road in Bradford Township, Clearfield County. The victim then transported himself to Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital for treatment.
