A man from New Bethlehem who was charged with animal cruelty was sentenced to serve two year of probation after two emaciated dogs were found in Jefferson County last April launching an investigation.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, 43-year-old Bert Alan King consented to a plea agreement which dismissed other charges; however, he was ordered to pay more than $4,000 in restitution to a veterinarian in DuBois and to the Gateway Humane Society. He will have to comply with 50 hours of community service. .
