The latest Pennsylvania flu report shows a tremendous increase in confirmed cases in the last week across the commonwealth.
There were 11,140 flu cases across the state, compared to 6,398 the week before. Jefferson County has had 23 confirmed cases and Clearfield has 35. Indiana County’s total number of flu cases for the season rose by 41, from 18 to 59.
Seventy-eight percent of the flu cases in Pennsylvania have been Type B.
There were no deaths reported last week. There have been seven so far this season.
