The Game Commission continues investigating the disturbing video involving two local teens and a deer.
After a video was shared on social media that showed the teens tearing off the antlers of a deer that had been shot, kicking him in the face, and stepping on his throat, PETA’s humane education division sent a letter to the superintendent of the Brookville Area School District, Dr. Erich May, requesting they implement TeachKind, which is a program of lessons in compassion.
PETA also requested that the Jefferson County district attorney’s office consider felony cruelty-to-animals charges against those responsible.
