A woman from Fairmount City found items that belonged to her in another person’s backpack and called the police.
The incident happened on Route 322 in Clarion Township around 2 pm on November 2nd when a 61 year old man from Clarion attempted to steal some grocery items belonging to a 51 year old woman. She retrieved the property and he was arrested.

This past Saturday a man from Knox was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Clarion County.
Pennsylvania State Police Troopers were on patrol around 7 pm when they were stopped at the intersection of Dog Leg Road and State Route 208, then spotted a vehicle swerving. A traffic stop was conducted and police say 54 year old Loni Hepler was unable to perform the standardized field sobriety test.
He was taken to Clarion Hospital and charges are pending the blood results.
