The average cost of a gallon of gas went up a bit from last week.
Triple-A East Central reports that the statewide average as of this morning is 2.77 a gallon.
Last week at this time, the average was $2.71 a gallon, so it went up by six cents over the last week. The lowest average by county is Jefferson with an average cost of $2.79 a gallon. Clearfield, Indiana and Clarion County’s average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is among the highest in the state at $2.84 a gallon.
The national average stands at $2.61.
