We’ve had lots of police reports of deer causing accidents, because of rut and here’s another.
This one happened around 4 in the morning on Tuesday in Paint Township of Clarion County when 24 year old Xavier Solis of West Palm Beach, Florida was driving on I 80 near the Shippenville Exit when a deer entered the roadway, hitting his freight-liner.
He and his passenger, 51 year old Javier Solis, were not injured.
Usually deer are more active between dusk and dawn. Rut reaches its peak in the middle of this month.

A man from DuBois had minor injuries from an accident where he was hit from behind.
Yesterday around 3 o’clock in Brady Township of Clearfield County, 62 year old Patrick Turner of Grampian was driving north on Route 219 behind 56 year old Larry Kohler of DuBois. Kohler stopped for a school bus and police say Turner was traveling too fast for road conditions and was unable to come to a safe stop.
Brady Township Ambulance transported Kohler to Penn Highlands for treatment. Brady Township VFD assisted at the scene.
Turner was giving a warning.
