A man from Houtzdale was arrested in Jefferson County for attempting to steal a camper.
On October 25th around 10 pm, the Brookville Borough Police conducted a traffic stop on the Allegheny Boulevard. Police say 26 year old Matthew Wisor was driving a pickup truck hauling a camping trailer that didn’t have the proper lights required. During the stop. the officer found Wisor was driving under a suspend license from a previous DUI.
Police were granted permission to search where they found drug paraphernalia inside the pickup. After further investigation, police found the trailer was sold to a camper sales business in Brookville in July. When authorities contacted the owner of the business it was determined the camper trailer had not been sold to anyone and it was to still be on the property.
The camper, truck, and Wisor and another unnamed suspect were turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police in Marienville.
