The average price of gasoline across Western Pennsylvania is two cents cheaper this week at $2.79 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
Average price last week was $2.81. Last year the gasoline was averaging $3.03.
Averages for the region: Punxsutawney is $2.79. It’s $2.71 in DuBois and Brookville. Clarion checks in at $2.85, while Indiana averages the highest in the area at $2.88.
The national gas price average dropped by four cents on the week to $2.60, despite a jump in gasoline demand and a dip in gasoline stocks.
