Improving downtown Punxsutawney is the main goal.
On Wednesday evening The Punxsutawney Revitalization: Investing, Developing, & Enhancing (PRIDE) had a meeting at Gobbler’s Knob to update the progress. Some key points to making improvements include:
– Having fundraisers to hire a Main Street Manager
– Using a survey data that was collected for an overall perception of Downtown Punxsutawney and the results tend to show it’s safe, clean and green.
Respondents also suggest it does not have the right mix of businesses, or vibrance in the evening, and 58 percent say they disagree with the statement that it has well maintained buildings.
