A man from Cleveland, Ohio, was found guilty after a two-day jury trial related to the burglary of the store of a federally licensed gun dealer in Jefferson County and the robbery of a gas station, in Clarion County.
According to information provided to the court, 23 year old Reginald Patterson and his brother, Rayshawn Patterson, who pleaded guilty to the same offenses in September, traveled from Cleveland to rural areas of western Pennsylvania in December 2017 to commit the crimes, including a sporting goods business in Brookville where they reportedly stole 16 firearms.
According to the Department of Justice, Reginald Patterson was convicted of conspiracy to commit theft and theft of firearms from a licensed dealer, possession and interstate transportation of stolen firearms, plus conspiracy to commit robbery, and robbery.
Sentencing includes a maximum of 75 years in prison and a fine of $1,500,000 or both.
