According to an insurance company study, Pennsylvania drivers have a 1 in 52 chance of hitting a deer this season, and that is what happened to a Fairmount City man on Saturday in Red Bank Township of Clarion County.
Police say the crash occurred just before 7 in the morning when 23 year old Ryan Milliron was traveling eastbound on State Route 28 when a deer entered the roadway, causing a head on collision. He and his passenger, 24 year old Madison Guntrum, also of Fairmount City, were wearing their seat belts and were not injured; however, his vehicle had disabling damage.
City of Bethlehem Fire Department assisted at the scene.
