The fire that happened yesterday morning around 2 on Stifflertown Road in Burnside Township of Clearfield County has been classified as Arson.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police Punxsutawney Crime Unit, Chief Sean Fox of the Cherrytree Fire Department requested the assistance from a PA State Police Fire Marshal in determining the origin and cause of the structure fire. The two story building was 32′ x 60′ and was unoccupied with no active utilities. It had been previously damaged in a 2015 fire.
No one was injured, however, the structure was a complete loss valued around $50,000. Two neighboring residences also suffered damage. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney at 814 938 0510.
