Following too closely to another vehicle, especially on a wet road, can lead to an accident.
That’s what happened on Friday in Clarion Township around 9:30 in the morning when 21 year old Kelsey Martin of Clarion was driving on Route 66, west of Eberline Road, when, she reported to the Pennsylvania State Police in Clarion, she was trying to turn her rear wiper off and didn’t see the stopped vehicle in front of her before the impact.
The other vehicle was driven by 56 year old Sandra Bowser of New Bethlehem, who was not injured; however, one of her passengers, 59 year old Valerie Hanes of Mayport, had suspected minor injuries and was not transported.
Martin was cited for following too closely and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
