Charges were filed on Monday against a 68 year old man for DUI, fleeing and eluding.
The Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney conducted a traffic stop on Sprankle Mills Road in Perry Township of Jefferson County, where medics were summoned for an evaluation of the accused; however, he refused treatment and while under investigation for driving under the influence of alcohol, he allegedly became confrontational, fled the scene in his vehicle and a high-speed pursuit began.
Pennsylvania State Police deployed stinger strips in attempt to deflate his tires and the pursuit continued for about ten miles before he was apprehended.
The police haven’t released his name or where he’s from, but charges were filed through the District Court.
