Correction: Six people were injured in a vehicle accident on Wednesday evening around 10 in Washington Township of Clarion County.
Pennsylvania State Police in Marienville say the crash occurred as 18 year old Corey Agnew of Lucinda was traveling west on Washington Church Road towards its intersection with SR 36 and failed to stop and yield to a van driven by 64 year old Dennis Scott of Timblin who was driving south on state route 36. When, according to authorities, Agnew entered the intersection, he was hit by Scott’s vehicle on the left side.
Both drivers sustained serious injuries as well as four out of the eight passengers in Scott’s van. All six were transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment. Washington Township volunteer fire department assisted at the scene and the vehicles had to be towed.
