There was a two-vehicle accident that happened yesterday morning in Jenks Township of Forest County.
Pennsylvania State Police in Marienville say the crash occurred when 27 year old James Emmott of Jamestown fell asleep while driving south on Route 66 just west of Birch Street and veered into the oncoming lane. 27 year old Justin Schmader of Lucinda was heading north on Route 66 and attempted to avoid the collision; however, Emmott’s hatchback hit the rear of the pickup truck before his car overturned onto its roof.
Safety equipment was used and no one was seriously hurt. Marienville VFD and Clarion EMS were all on the scene. Emmott was charged for careless driving.
