Brookville Borough Council approved a motion last night (Tuesday) in order to move forward on the survey and base mapping of the Marlin Street corridor.
The survey and mapping will help council identify possible stormwater issues and solutions in the area.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, Borough Manager Dana Schreckengost outlined and recommended acceptance of an engineering cost proposal for the Marlin Street corridor.
The survey and base mapping was estimated at $3,550.00; construction drawings and specifications were estimated at $5,450.00; and, should bidding be required, that was estimated at $700.00 – bringing the total estimate to $9,700.00.
The council approved the survey and base map step only, for the moment, and the motion carried unanimously.
In other business, the council approved reinvestment of a matured CD totaling $157,455. 46 through the Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust at a variable rate of 2.24 percent.
