On Monday around two in the afternoon there was a crash on I-80 near the Brookville Sigel Exit in Union Township of Jefferson County.
The State police in DuBois report the crash occurred when Marcia Rodriguez of El Mont, New York was traveling east and lost control of her vehicle as she was merging from the left lane into the right. Police say she was traveling too fast for road conditions and slipped across the right lane, hitting a guide rail, went back into the right lane and was hit by a car driven by 65 year old Douglas Brandenburg of Evens, Colorado.
Rodriguez had minor injuries and refused treatment; however, her vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Rodriguez was charged with not driving at a safe speed.
