The Brookville Borough Police Department are investigating a case of theft in Jefferson County involving more than $29,000 that took place over a two -year period.
According to the police report, a 48 year old man and a 50 year old woman are accused of taking money, from 2017 to now, from their mother, who has been diagnosed with dementia, while they were acting as power of attorney and/or caretakers.
The victims and the names of the accused are not in the report.
