There was a special meeting held last night by the Punxsutawney Borough Council and a lot was accomplished.
According to The Punxsutawney Spirit, the council approved a new contract for the borough police department which expires at the end of 2022.
The published report also said the council also approved hiring Randall Wright Jr. as a public works/mechanic operator, the next meeting is September 10 at 6 pm.
