More details emerged about an incident of assault resulting in life-threatening injuries that was reported earlier this month in Knox Township of Clarion County.
On August 10th around 4:30 in the afternoon on Sunset Drive, Pennsylvania State Police in Clarion responded to an assault in progress. Officers determined 34 year old Jason Confer of DuBois used a lighter to singe the hair of 29 year old Adam Kriner of Bristol, Tennessee. Police say 20 minutes later, Kriner punched Confer in the face with a closed fist, causing him to fall onto a concrete sidewalk, hitting his head.
Confer was life-flighted to Allegheny General Hospital for his injures. It was discovered later he had to be placed onto life support and was in a medically induced in a coma.
Kriner was taken into custody and arraigned at the District Court, then taken to the Clarion County Jail on $10,000 straight bail.
