PennDOT wants to remind motorists traveling through Burnside Township of Clearfield County to obey the posted speed limit.
The Department of Transportation announced the placement of the radar-controlled speed display sign is on the Westover Road between Ridge Road and Cherry Lane with the purpose of curbing speeding. The sign will be there for the next several weeks.
Speeding and other aggressive driving practices are among the leading cause of crashes and fatalities in Pennsylvania, and in Clearfield County it was listed 49 percent as the cause of a crash.
