On August 15th, Pennsylvania State Police in Marienville received a report of a stolen vehicle in Forest County.
According to the police, the suspects were interested in buying the car from the unnamed victim. On August 14 the owner of the car provided the potential buyers a key so they could retrieve the car from an Endeavor address and meet the owner to transfer the title and make a payment in Titusville. When they failed to show on August 18th at the agreed location, the car was listed with NCIC as stolen and recovered in Oil City the same day.
The investigation is on-going, pending further investigation.
