According to the PSP in Punxsutawney, the crash occurred about a quarter after five when 34 year old Mary Fisher of Punxsutawney was driving south on route 36; while 42 year old Michelle McDonald of Reynoldsville was stopped at a stop sign on SR 2001.
The police report says when McDonald pulled onto route 36 she and Fisher collided in the southbound lane. McDonald’s vehicle hit a road sign and a utility pole before coming to a rest. Jefferson County EMS, Sykesville, and Big Run Fire Departments assisted at the scene, both drivers and Fisher’s passengers, two boys, a 10 and an 11 year old, were transported to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injures. McDonald was charged for a traffic violation.
