On Saturday morning at 3, PSP in Marienville conducted a traffic stop on route 66 and route 36 after observing several traffic violations. After further investigation, the driver, 54 year old Gary Balisky, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance while being in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. When officers searched his vehicle they found a loaded firearm that belonged to the driver; however, he did not have a valid license to carry.
Balisky was transported to Clarion Hospital for a legal blood draw and arraigned through the district Court where bail was made.
