We have an update of an investigation into child pornography in Jefferson County.
The Brookville Borough Police Department has filed additional felony charges of possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility following a lengthy investigation. Police had initially charged 46 year old Michael Wonderling of Brookville with 35 felony counts of possession of child pornography, which stemmed from an investigation jointly conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police, Jefferson County District’s Attorney’s Office and the Brookville Borough Police Department.
New information has been recovered by computer forensic specialists that have lead to a new criminal complaint being filed against Wonderling. He is now charged with 913 counts of possession of child pornography and 11 counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
Wonderling is currently out on bail from his previous arrest.
